All my life I've written. Fiction. Stories. Essays. The reality is that there are few places I am more completely me than this blog. But, whenever I click on an "about me" page, I'm usually looking for some stats, so here goes...
- I'm a Texas girl who grew up in Fort Worth.
- John and I met in college and have been married for 24 years.
- Our kids, Chase and Bethany are attending university together.
- My day job is in marketing where I work with a group of fantastic people. I also do freelance writing for a number of print and online publications.
- I've been a vegetarian since 1996. And am currently "vegan with a sushi clause."
- Most days you will find me with paint, marker, clay, ink or something else that I just couldn't get off my hands. I started doing illustrations for the blog in 2011 which are usually in crayon or Copic markers.
- I practice yoga daily in some form or another (no I look nothing like a vegetarian yogi should, but not for lack of trying). This year, I'm pursuing my 200 hour certification through Yoga Alliance--an adventure for me.
- I've loved Jesus since I was a little girl.
