When John and I went to Mexico a few weeks ago, we stayed at Hacienda Corazon. One of the things I loved about it were all the brightly colored pillows in Mexican fabrics.

It made for a happy, vacation sort of vibe.

Which, I decided to recreate in my house to create "everyday vacation."

I replaced our patterened futon cover with a plain beige cover from SureFit, but the really great finds were the wonderful pillows made from recycled saris that were on sale at World Market.

Since, getting our living room tiled, I'd been putting off getting a rug because I couldn't find anything I really loved. But while walking through World Market, I stumbled on the perfect one to finish the "vacation" look.
