As I've played with it in my head it is hard to separate it from fashion magazines and makeup counters.
Association with an industry.
But beauty is so much more than that. The very idea that we can be deeply moved by an aesthetic is incredible to me. Ever had your breath taken by a vista? Been delighted by the pop of color from a wildflower pushing between a crack in the sidewalk? Seen your child laugh and been touched by the sheer beauty of it?
The theme for 2014 is beauty. In all its wonder and complexity.
I'm curious to see how it will touch the year.
