About Leonard...

It's strange the battles that play out all around us.  While part of the world is bright and sunny, the other is dark.  As I write this, Leonard is fighting to survive a massive stroke at a hospital in Florida.  I think of him and pray for him. His story stays with me.

I don't actually know Leonard.  Who I do know is his son, Michael.

Whenever Michael talks about his dad, there is love and friendship in his voice. I've determined over the years that Leonard must be a very great man.

In Michael's update on Facebook this week, he penned the following which stood out as something most real and true:

My one solace in this time is that there is zero confusion between him and I on how much we love each other.

Michael captured it.  The only thing in both the sunshine and the dark that matters at all.
