I wanted to spend a year exploring what it meant.
And at the end of the day, I think it is significant that God creates things with beauty. Flowers, sunsets, birdsong...
Humans also create things of beauty...paintings, architecture, cupcakes...
We are moved by beauty, yet all of our insecurity around it is about a question...are we beautiful?
I believe the answer is a resounding yes.
We are made in the image of God and that makes us beautiful. The more like Him we become the more that beauty shines in us. I think we get confused when we let our models of beauty be skewed by a limited spectrum which gets labeled "beauty."
This world is a beautiful place--created by design. We just have to take the time to see and enjoy it.
