The way we think about aging...

I'm going to turn 49 in four weeks, and this is what I've noticed...there is a whole thinking process around aging.

Every medical malady is attributed to it.
There is a culture of maintenance prescriptions.
And there is a certain amount of dread.

I'm curious if some of the process isn't self fulfilling prophecy. How much of our cultural perceptions shape how we age?

We have choices. After all, we choose what we wear, what we do and how we define ourselves.

Aging is inevitable, but I'm pretty sure I get to pick when I get old.
